There has been a massive increase in young children, ages 5 and under, who get into the hands of opioids and experience an overdose that could cost their life. They are beginning to explore the world and are unaware of the dangers of opioids. They might think that these opioids are “candy” and will put it into their mouth as they expect a sweet sensation. These innocent children are mostly unsupervised when they are getting their hands on these life-threatening pills.
